Thank you to Sandra Cullen for organising and hosting the Christmas Experience in church this week. The children went on a journey- following the star- to six stations:

The Preparation – thinking about preparing our hearts as well as our homes during Advent.

The Announcement – visited the kitchen where the Angel visited Mary

The Journey – saw Mary and Joseph as they travelled to Bethlehem

The Message – Listened to the shepherds’ story about the angel appearing to them

The Promises – looked at the promises foretold in the bible about the birth of Jesus

The Gift – God’s gift of Jesus is given to the world

Each year group came in turn and made their own class nativity scene to display in their classroom, and every child was given a knitted angel and a colouring sheet to take away with them.

Thank you to Cath, Lynn, Rev John, Tracy, Meg, Margaret, and Anne for their help in telling this special story and to all those who knitted the angels.

Finally, thank you to the staff, and especially the children, for their participation and their excellent behaviour.
