This morning in Whole School Worship we learned about the life of John Newton.

John Newton lived from 1725-1807 and he was involved in the Slave Trade between England, Africa and The Americas. Newton began to see the error in his ways and he wrote the hymn ‘Amazing Grace’. He believed that God loved him despite his mistakes. He asked for forgiveness from God and he believed that by changing his ways, God would forgive him.

If you say sorry for the bad things that you have done, you will be forgiven.

Worship Club performed the song ‘Praise You’ and they dazzled the whole school with their amazing dance moves celebrating our love for God.
