Today in whole school worship we continued to explore this term’s Christian value- forgiveness. The children acted out the Bible story of Jacob and Esau to consider the importance of forgiveness. After the children acted out the story, we discussed that we all have our squabbles, just like Jacob and Esau. Mrs. Hoban encouraged the children to think about their families, the people they live with and their friends:
- Are there any arguments that need sorting out?
- Are there people who we need to say sorry to?
- Are there people who we need to forgive?
At the end of the story Esau forgave his brother Jacob and we all agreed that forgiveness is important.
