The Childline website has lots of valuable information, but one area I like is their Calm Zone. The activities aim to help children feel better when they’re feeling anxious, scared or sad. Although children could be encouraged to visit the website themselves, these are good techniques for adults use with children. Ideas include: breathing exercises, a ‘let it go’ box and creating a ‘sense drawer’.

Their website can be found here: https://www.childline.org.uk/toolbox/calm-zone

Further resources such as Kooth which is the UK’s largest and longest established digital mental health service. They partner with NHS and local authority organisations to deliver game-changing mental health support to young people from age 10 and up. They have many resources providing support and professional help for parents and children. Including free webinars offering valuable insights for professionals and families, providing practical information and guidance on key mental health topics.
