School finishes today for our February half term. We will return to school on Monday 27th February.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY DATES
Just a reminder to parents that the best place to find our school holiday dates is on our own school website www.wiganstandrews.net or at the school office. Recently some confusion has occurred when using other websites, which often do not reflect the changes we make as a church school to our Easter and May half term holiday dates. Many thanks.

Could we also remind Y2 and Y6 parents that year end SATs will take place during May. It would be very much appreciated if parents did not book any holidays during the May period before our half term, which is Monday 22nd May to Friday 2nd June). Many thanks for your support.

RED NOSE DAY – FRIDAY 24TH MARCH
This year we are going to have a ‘Red Nose Day Disco’. Children can come to school in their own clothes or fancy dress if they wish.
KS1 and Reception will have their disco during the afternoon. KS2 classes will be having their disco when school finishes and can be collected at 5.00pm. The children will be provided with refreshments.
We would welcome any donations that you are able to send in support of this very worthy charity.

RAFFLE FOR A CHOCOLATE HAMPER
Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets in support of the charity Amy & Friends. The chocolate hamper was won by Ava Pettitt in YR.

WIGAN ATHLETIC AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
The next Wigan Athletic after school club will start on Tuesday 28th February. The club is open to girls and boys from Y1 to Y6 and will cost £15.00 for the 5 weeks. If your child would like to take part please return the permission slip at the bottom of the letter your child has brought home along with payment. Many thanks.

GUIDE BINGO NIGHT
On Friday 24th February the Guides will be holding a ‘Bingo Night’. It will start at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre.
All are welcome to join them for an evening of fun, bingo and refreshment. The money raised at this event will go towards the guide levy and insurance. Please come along and bring friends or the whole family. There will also be a raffle. If anyone would like to donate prizes for either the raffle or the bingo, please give them to Joan James.
