MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ALL OF US AT ST ANDREW’S SCHOOL
Once again, a big thank you children for the wonderful Christmas productions! Our aim is always to develop the children’s confidence and enjoyment for all as we learn and understand what Christmas is really about.
Thank you to families and friends for your support at these events and all year round too! My thanks also to the staff for all their hard work giving the children a lovely Christmas at school.

CHRISTMAS OUTINGS & PARTIES
Key Stage 2 children are going to the cinema on Wednesday 18th December in school time. It is uniform as usual and the children do not need any money.
Key Stage 1 will be having their Christmas party on Wednesday 18th December in the afternoon. On that day the children will come in their party clothes.
We are asking for donations of biscuits (Kit Kats, Cadbury’s Fingers etc) for the party. Many thanks.

TOY DAY – THURSDAY 19TH DECEMBER
We are having a Toy Day on Thursday 19th December. On that day children may come in Christmas clothes or onesies and make a donation.
Children may bring a toy to play with (but please not one with lots of parts as they may get lost). Please try to avoid sending in expensive toys if possible, but if your child does bring in anything expensive, please be aware they are responsible for them.

END OF TERM
School finishes on Friday 20th December at the earlier time of 1.00pm. Please make the necessary arrangements to collect your child at this earlier time. School will return on Tuesday 7th January 2014.

CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS CONCERT
One of St Andrew’s School mums (Abi Smith) mum of Sarah-May (Y2) and Jacob (YR) has started a music academy in Wigan earlier this year.
Next Thursday, 19th December at 7.00pm there is a concert at the Parish Centre, Wigan to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care; at which they will be presenting Christmas carols and songs. Tickets are £5.00 (adult) and £2.00. To book please ring: 07814193335.
WIGAN & LEIGH HOSPICE CHRISTMAS NOVELTIES
