END OF TERM

School finishes on Friday 19th December at the earlier time of 1.00pm. Please make the necessary arrangements to collect your child at this earlier time. School will return on Tuesday 6th January 2015.

CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCES

The Christmas performances are as follows:

Key Stage 1

  • Thursday 11th December – 1.45pm in the school hall
  • Friday 12th December – 9.30am in the school hall

Key Stage 2

  • Thursday 11th December – 9.30am in St Andrew’s Church
  • Friday 12th December – 1.30pm in St Andrew’s Church

CHRISTMAS WITH THE LUNCH BUNCH

Christmas lunch will be held on Tuesday 16th December. If those children who normally bring sandwiches for their lunch would like to take part, please return your form as soon as possible. The cost of the meal will be £2.00 (please order by Friday 12th December). The menu will be:

Roast Turkey, Carrots & Sweet Corn,

Roast & Creamed Potatoes & Gravy

Christmas Pudding & White Sauce or

Festive Ice Cream or

Seasonal Fresh Fruit

 Cup Drink

CHRISTMAS OUTINGS & PARTIES

Key Stage 2 children are going to the cinema on Wednesday17h December in school time. It is uniform as usual and the children do not need any money.

Key Stage 1 will be having their Christmas party on Wednesday 17th December in the afternoon. On that day the children will come in their party clothes.

 We are asking for donations of biscuits (Kit Kats, Cadbury’s Fingers etc) for the party. Many thanks.

MISSION CHRISTMAS TOY APPEAL

Thank you to everyone who has sent toys for our Mission Christmas Toy Appeal. We have received some wonderful gifts. If you still wish to make a donation please bring any toys and gifts to school by the 12th December. Many thanks for your support.

WINTER UNIFORM

Just a reminder that children need to wear a shirt and tie (no polo shirts please) during the winter uniform period. Many thanks.

TOY DAY – THURSDAY 18TH DECEMBER

We are having a Toy Day on Thursday 18th December. On that day children may come in Christmas clothes or onesies and make a donation.

Children may bring a toy to play with (but please not one with lots of parts as they may get lost). Please try to avoid sending in expensive toys if possible, but if your child does bring anything expensive, please be aware they are responsible for them.

CHRISTMAS TREES

If you are going to watch the KS2 performance in church, or attending one of the special Christmas services listed below, please take a moment to look at the Christmas Trees done by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. All the girls were fantastic and worked really hard, and all the trees are amazing! My thanks to their leaders for all their help.

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SERVICES AT ST ANDREW’S

Sunday 14th December 10.45am – All Generations Pass the Parcel.

Sunday 21st December 6.00pm – Service of carols and readings followed by mince pies and sherry.

Christmas Eve 6.00pm – Crib Service

                       11.30pm – Midnight Eucharist.

Christmas Day 10.00am – Holy Communion.
