WELCOME BACK
Welcome back to all our wonderful St Andrew’s children! We have missed you so much and it’s lovely to see you again! I know that there are lots of new rules in school about where to walk, and lots of new routines too.
You have been absolutely brilliant at following the new rules and routines. Your teachers (and me too!) are so proud of you all.
I am very pleased to see you all looking so smart too! It’s still fine to wear polo shirts and summer dresses until the half-term holiday, but please remember to get your shirts and ties ready for the end of October. St Andrew’s children always stand out in the community for your excellent behaviour and smart uniform, let’s keep up the high standard and wear your St Andrew’s school uniform with pride! Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT INHALERS IN SCHOOL
Please make sure that your child’s school-based inhaler is in-date, and let us know if it is no longer needed. If your child has been diagnosed with asthma recently, please inform your child’s class teacher and obtain the relevant consent forms from Mrs Swift in the office who will email them out to you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT HEALTH PLANS
If your child has a health plan and/or an inhaler you will have received an email early this week from us with health plan forms attached. Please fill them in and return to school as soon as possible either through email or by printing them off and giving us a paper copy. It is vital that we update our information in order to keep your children safe and healthy.

PE KITS
Please do not send PE kits into school. Children should please come to school wearing their PE kits on the days that they have PE. They may wear a dark coloured tracksuit (no fashion tracksuits) over their PE kits if it is a cold day. Pumps or trainers are fine.
N.B. Year 5 and Year 6 have new navy blue PE kits this year.
PE Days
- YR – Will come in PE kits after half term
- Y1 – Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Y2 – Mondays and Thursdays
- Y3 – Thursdays and Fridays
- Y4 – Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Y5 – Tuesday swimming (letter to follow) P.E. on Fridays
- Y6 – Mondays and Thursdays
WIGAN ATHLETIC AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
- Thursdays – Year 2
- Fridays – Year 3
After school multi skills clubs will start next week for Year 2 and Year 3 (separate letter to follow).
In order to maintain class bubbles we are only able to have 1 class per evening for after school clubs. This half term will be Year 2 (Thursdays) and Year 3 (Fridays). New classes will be chosen for the next half term.
Parents in Y2 and Y3 will be emailed permission letters which should be returned to school with your child, not to the school office in a sealed envelope containing payment. As school will be invoiced directly from Wigan Athletic Community Trust all cheques should be made payable to Wigan St Andrew’s CE School. There will be enough room in the club for all the children in the class to attend if they wish (as long as they return permission slips with payment). As it is their PE days, children will not need additional sports clothes for after school clubs. Many thanks.
