Dear Parents and Carers of children currently attending Kids.com,

Following the announcement of the forthcoming closure of Kids.Com, Wigan Council Childcare Development Team have assessed the childcare provision in the area and have identified that there is insufficient early years provision and out of school provision serving Springfield. As you are aware, Kids.Com will offer this provision up to the end of the school term.

Wigan Council are in the process of commissioning a new childcare provision and it is hoped that this will be in place for September. In the event that it isn’t, the council have set up an interim arrangement with Beech Hill Primary out of school club. Should the new commissioned childcare not be in place by September, St Andrews staff will operate a walking bus from Beech Hill Primary breakfast club back to St Andrews and from school at the end of the day to Beech Hill Primary after school club.

Information will be circulated in the coming weeks via school and school website. At present I do not have any further details but I will certainly keep you updated as the project progresses.
