In Roman times, common people had to carry the bag of a Roman soldier for 1 mile – it was the law!

Jesus encouraged people to go the extra mile and carry the bag for 2 miles. It was a way of showing the Romans how good the common people were despite not liking the unfair laws imposed upon them.

This morning, Worship Club retold the story of Ruth. Ruth also went the extra mile.
