KS1 and KS2
At St Andrew’s, our Key Stage 1 curriculum builds on the foundations laid in the Early Years, rooted in our Christian values.
We foster confidence and curiosity, encouraging children to explore and enjoy their learning. Through a rich and balanced curriculum, they develop a love of learning, creativity, and early independence.
Children learn the importance of kindness, compassion and respect, supported by a nurturing environment where safety and wellbeing are central. Our teaching promotes wonder, thankfulness and friendship, helping children grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
In Key Stage 2, pupils grow in independence and understanding as they prepare for secondary education.
We encourage ownership of learning, resilience and self-reflection, all underpinned by our Christian ethos. A broad curriculum promotes academic excellence and creativity, while collective worship and reflection nurture thankfulness, forgiveness and hope.
Our pupils leave Key Stage 2 as confident, compassionate individuals, ready for the next stage with a strong sense of purpose, peace and friendship.
