Christmas Information…

Posted by admin in News

Dear Parents/Carers

EARLY FINISH TUESDAY 19TH DECEMBER AT 1.00PM

Our chair of governors has granted permission for us to finish at 1pm next Tuesday, so please arrange for your child/children to be collected at the earlier time of 1pm.

KEY STAGE 2 PERFORMANCES

For the Key Stage 2 Christmas performances on Wednesday and Thursday we would like the children to wear their school uniform with a Christmas twist; they can wear a Christmas jumper over their uniform, a Christmas hat/headband, or some tinsel etc. If your child has an acting part, we have provided them with a costume.  Y6 dancers can wear sparkly clothes.

KEY STAGE 1/EYFS PERFORMANCES

Just a reminder that for the Key Stage 1/Reception performance: Reception are the ‘Shining Stars’ wearing black clothing (please bring into school in a labelled plastic bag) and wearing their headbands that have been made in school; Year 1 are wearing their Christmas jumpers over their uniform; and Year 2 have their costumes ready for them in school.

PE & SWIMMING LESSONS

There will be no PE lessons from Wednesday onwards, as the hall will be in use for performances/parties etc. There will be no more swimming lessons until the new year and Year 4 have been asked to bring their instruments home today; they can keep them at home until the new year.

KEY STAGE 2

On Friday, the children in Key Stage 2 can come in their own clothes: Year 5 and 6 will be playing Christmas Bingo in the hall; Year 3 and 4 will be watching a Christmas movie and playing some party games. Any donations of party food would be greatly appreciated.

KEY STAGE 1/EYFS

On Monday, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 can wear their party clothes for their Christmas Party in the afternoon. Again, any donations of biscuits/cakes for the party would be much appreciated.

Also on Friday, a reminder that Reception are coming in their pyjamas for their teddy bear Christmas breakfast.

CHRISTMAS JUMPER/TOY DAY

Next Tuesday, as it is the last day of term, the children can wear their Christmas jumpers and their own clothes. They can also bring a toy/game to enjoy with their friends- no toys/games with very small parts that might get lost and no electronic devices please.

As all these arrangements would leave Key Stage 2 needing school uniform for just one day next week, we are happy for them to come in their own clothes on Monday.

A very busy, but exciting, end of term. We look forward to seeing you at our Christmas Performances.

Many Thanks
