Autism Week

Posted by admin in News

This week is National Autism Week so today in Whole School Worship we talked about Autism.

There are many different types of Autism and people with Autism often find things difficult that other people find easy. 1 in every 100 people in the United Kingdom has Autism.

We watched a short video about a girl called Rosie. Rosie has Autism and she says that her brain works a little bit differently to other people. Rosie says that although it can be a problem, she wouldn’t swap her autism for anything because it gives her her creativity and imagination.

“Autism makes me different but it also makes me unique and special.”

This week every class is going to spend some time in the Nurture Room learning more about Autism.
