WIGAN ST ANDREW’S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL

NEWSLETTER FRIDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2023

PSHE Y4, Y5 & Y6

On Monday 11th December, Y4, Y5 & Y6 will take part in a session called bCyberwise  delivered by our PSHE provider SCARF Coram Life Education. This session will promote positive cyber citizenship and teach children how to be respectful and safe online. 

From 9.00-9.15am on Monday 11th December parents/carers of children in Y4, Y5 & Y6 are welcome in the hall for  an informal 10 minute chat to find out more about SCARF and their programmes. They will also be selling ‘Harold the Giraffe’ Scratch Art bookmarks for sale for £1 a pack for children in Y4, Y5 & Y6 to purchase if they would like to do so.

CHILDREN IN NEED

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Children in Need appeal last week.  We raised £194.30.  Many thanks for your support.

ST ANDREW’S DAY SERVICE

Worship club will be helping to lead our school communion service in church on St Andrew’s Day, Thursday 30th November. The service will start once all the children have made their way over to church at about 9.15am. Everyone is welcome to join us.

EYFS & Key Stage 1 (in the school hall):

Wednesday 13th December @ 1.45pm

Thursday 14th December @ 9.45 am

Key Stage 2 (in church):

Wednesday 13th December @ 9.30am

Thursday 14th December @ 1.30pm

                                             Crib Service – 6pm – St Andrew’s Church

                                              Midnight Eucharist – 11.30pm – St Andrew’s Church

Monday 25th December – Christmas Day Holy Communion – 10am – St Andrew’s Church

Sunday 31st December  – Hub Service – 10.30am – St Annes Church

FREE SCHOOL MEALS ENTITLEMENT CHANGES

If you currently receive child tax credits and think you are entitled to free school meals but haven’t yet applied, please be aware of changes which may affect your entitlement.  Speak to the office about how the changeover to Universal Credit could impact your future entitlement.
