This morning in Whole School Worship, we talked about our Christian Value, Compassion.
We sang a song about friendship called ‘Count On Me’, then we watched a story about kindness and friendship.

In the story, the little doggy didn’t want to share the worms with the heron because the dog’s owner was using the worms to fish with. However, when the dog realised that the heron wanted the worms to feed its baby herons, the dog changed its behaviour. The dog showed compassion to the heron and gave the worms to the baby herons.
After the dog showed compassion to the heron, the heron went and caught a fish for the dog and his owner. The heron showed compassion to the dog and rewarded the positive behaviour.
We can learn from the story.
When we show compassion to someone, they feel good and they can spread their happy feelings to others. Spreading compassion is spreading love and love makes the world a wonderful place to live in.
Can you do one kind thing today?
