Happy New Year, St. Andrew’s!

It was great to see all of your wonderful faces in Whole School Worship this morning. Today, Mrs Hoban talked about potential. We looked at tiny sunflower seeds and talked about how they have the potential to grow over 900cm tall. Something really small has the potential to be really tall and beautiful. However, we have to look after the sunflower and give it all of the things that it needs to grow and flourish. A sunflower seed will need water (but not too much), nutrients, sunlight and even a stick for support.

We also talked about matches and how they have the potential to make fire. Fire can be really helpful, but it can also be harmful. We have to make the right  choice with the match, in order to achieve its maximum potential.

It is the same with us. We need to make the correct choices in life in order to achieve our full potential.
