You can now help raise funds for school by recycling inkjet cartridges, toners, mobile phones and electronic gadgets.  We will keep the recycling box in school reception but you can also send items direct.

DEANERY HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY GROUPS

The Deanery High School is currently running a number of community groups.  All groups are free, and anyone is welcome to join in.

  • Tuesday lunchtime 1.15pm-2.00pm – Knit and Natter

You are invited to teach students how to knit/crochet whilst enjoying a cup of tea and cakes.

  • Wednesday 3.00pm-4.00pm – Silver Surfers

Students are on hand to help members of the community with their ICT needs. Go along to learn about emails, surfing the web and gain confidence in using office documents.

  • Thursday lunchtime 1.15pm-2.00pm – Buddy Reading

Go along to hear the children read.  It is a great opportunity to form intergenerational friendships, and there will be events to get involved in too.

Please contact Mrs Povey at spoveyhc@deanery.wigan.sch.uk or Mrs Watts at swattsk@deanery.wigan.sch.uk or contact 01942 486309 for more information.

Many thanks
