WIGAN ST ANDREW’S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL

NEWSLETTER 20

A VERY HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL!

Many thanks to our parents, carers, families and friends who came along to our Easter Eucharist yesterday morning.  It was a lovely service, and the children’s reading and singing were excellent.

May I also say a big thank you to Mrs Cavanagh and Mr Hoban for their hard work as always in preparing the service, and also to Mrs Sandra Cullen (School Governor and Church Warden) for her unstinting support.  An extra special thanks goes to the Rev. Stan Higginson for leading our service at such short notice.  We really hope he will come back to St Andrew’s again soon!

Thank you all of you for the extra special effort you made to look so smart, especially the shirts and ties – much appreciated!  Next term it is fine to wear a polo-shirt instead (if you wish) as they can be more comfortable in the warmer weather, but please remember to come back to school in shirts and ties in September.  I do feel that the more traditional uniform distinguishes our St Andrew’s girls and boys, and reflects our reputation in the community as a school with high standards.

On behalf of everyone at St Andrew’s I wish you a Happy and Blessed Easter!

(Mrs Massey)
