TREASURE HUNT

Thank you to everyone who hunted for treasure on Wednesday.  It was a brilliant turn out and you all seemed to have a great time, despite the chilly weather.  Thank you to Mr Hoban for designing the hunt and to all the staff and PTA members who helped.  A special thank you to Lindsey and Ella Cavanagh for looking after the ‘Name the Teddy’ and ‘How many coins?’  We raised £124.09, so thanks again.

HARVEST SERVICE

The children were fantastic during the Harvest Celebration on Tuesday.  We’re glad that so many of you could join us to enjoy the wonderful singing.  A big well done to the readers and performers too.  We were overwhelmed with your generosity; The Storehouse Project have sent their thanks for all your gifts. (J Cavanagh) ……I would like to add my thanks to Mrs Cavanagh and Mr Hoban for organising such a beautiful service. (Mrs Massey)

 

WORLD’S  BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING – MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT

A big thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning with your wonderful cakes and donations.  We raised £517.42.  Many thanks.

BAG2SCHOOL

Our next collection is on Tuesday 21st October at 9.00am (collection bags are being sent home with this newsletter).  Please note they no longer accept bedding or towels.  Bags should be left at the Mort Street entrance as usual.  Thank you for your continued support.

RUGBY

Well done to everyone who took part in the fun tag rugby tournament on Monday.  The games were very competitive and played in excellent spirit.  A big thank you to Mr Daly and Mr Ingram for their coaching skills.

 

Rugby training is now finished until spring.

 

There is an after school rugby tournament on Thursday 23rd October at Central Park for children in Y4, Y5 & Y6 (please see Mr Sharkey for a letter).  Many thanks.

UNIVERSAL SCHOOL MEALS

I would like to thank all the parents and carers who took the time to complete the free meals registration form in KS1.  It is very much appreciated.
