It was a beautiful evening for sport last night and Wigan St. Andrew’s Football Teams enjoyed success in the sunshine against Sacred Heart on Fisher Field.

Both St. Andrew’s teams played some excellent football and a well crafted corner routine from Jack and Alfie saw Alfie smash a volley past the Sacred Heart keeper in the first half. Great performances from Oliver, Jason, Keelan, Matthew, Daniel, Jack and Alfie secured a 1-1 draw against a more experienced Sacred Heart team.

In the other match, Cameron powered in a fantastic first time finish after only being on the pitch for 30 seconds as a replacement for the injured Heike. In the second half, Callum M thundered in a header (off his shoulder) to secure a magnificent 2-0 victory. Well played Callum D, Alfie and Alfie, Ptolemy, Tyler, Heike, Cameron and Callum M.
