Year 5 and Year 6 were treated to some surprise visitors today as Latics’ superstars Will Grigg and Michael Jacobs visited St. Andrew’s.
The high-flying Wigan Athletic players popped in to school to join in the Healthy Hearts lesson delivered to the Year 6 children by Wigan Athletic Community Trust. The children have been learning all about how to keep their hearts fit and healthy whilst also being shown how to perform life-saving CPR techniques.
The children in Year 5 have been learning how to write in the style of a newspaper report and they were delighted to read their match reports about Wigan’s brilliant victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup to Jacobs and goal scorer Grigg.
Well done children- you were brilliant!
