MRS PRESTON AND MISS TAYLOR ARE ST ANDREW’S SUPERHEROS!

Last week the children watched the video of Mrs Preston jumping out of an aeroplane at 3,000 feet! They were so amazed and excited to see this, and the atmosphere in the hall was electric.  It was so inspiring for the children to see our Assistant Headteacher doing something so courageous to raise money for our school!  Mrs Preston you are a superstar!  Well done!

Last weekend, Miss Taylor, our Deputy Headteacher, braved tremendously difficult weather conditions to complete the Great North Swim in Lake Windermere. Unfortunately we don’t have footage of this, but we have shared photographs on the school website with the children, and again this is another example of outstanding citizenship, doing something so difficult in order to raise money for our beloved school.

I personally could never have done either of these amazing tasks, and I am very grateful to and very proud of both teachers – they are fantastic role-models for our children!

Thank you to all our generous parents and carers who have donated to our cause. I will be in touch soon to tell you exactly how much has been raised.
