WIGAN ST. ANDREW’S CE PRIMARY SCHOOL
KS2 PARENTS – PICKING UP FROM SCHOOL – IMPORTANT NOTE
if your child is going home with another child’s parent at the end of the day please inform this to the class teacher in writing, or as a last resort ring Mrs Swift in the office.
At the end of the day we have 4 classes of children being dismissed through the junior door, so it is not possible for teachers to confirm who is collecting who. Many thanks.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
Now a very personal thank you from me to all the parents who sent cakes and also those who gave their time to support this event. You raised an amazing £418.90 for Macmillan and then came back at the end of the day to raise further funds for school (£83.99). Thank you parents!
Have a wonderful half term break and stay safe.
Well done to all of the superstars who have taken part in sporting events for St. Andrew’s this half term. We have such an amazing bunch of talented children.
Congratulations to the Y5 Swimming Team, Y2 Football Team, KS2 Tag-Rugby Squad and to the School Football Team who have competed against other Wigan primary schools this half term – all performing excellently. Also, well done to all of the children who have taken part in the Wigan Athletic Community Trust after-school multi-skills club.
We have had a really busy half term of sport and we are looking forward to more sporting excellence after the half term break. Great work everyone!
During the term every class has been earning points for excellent behaviour. The classes with the most points are being rewarded with a non-uniform day, on the first day of the new term (Monday 30th October).
The winners are:
- KS1 – Year 2
- KS2 – Year 5
Congratulations to both classes!
Thank you to the children for the wonderful ‘Harvest Celebration’ in church. Their fantastic singing was the perfect way to give thanks to God. ‘The Brick’ is quite low on supplies at the moment, so they really appreciated your generous donations.
We would like to thank the members of St. Andrew’s church for giving up their time and putting on another wonderful experience for the children. They thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the stations and taking part in the different activities.
