At 11 o’clock on Friday 11th November all the school stopped and observed the minute silence for Remembrance Day. After this Katie, Alicia, Ruby and Mrs. Cavanagh played The Last Post- great job girls! Many of us were really moved by the experience as we thought about all those brave people who are gone… but never forgotten.
This week I read about a brave little girl in Wigan called Emma Hoolin, age 4, who has an aggressive childhood cancer called neuroblastoma. Emma, who is a cousin of a child in our school, has been so brave this year in her fight against cancer enduring operations and chemotherapy. There is a treatment to stop Emma’s cancer from coming back but it is only available in America.
Emma needs to raise £210,000 to have this treatment! If you want to help Emma meet her target please sponsor me to run the Liverpool Marathon and together we can help Emma get better really soon.
