Wigan Athletic are off to Wembley for the FA cup Final and in support of this Wigan Council ran a competition for schools.
It was a competition for a picture of the best dressed school with the most likes on the council Facebook page.
On Thursday 2nd May, the whole school came in blue and white, with banners, flags and scarves.
We asked for a small donation of 50p per child and all the money we raised will be going to the ‘Joseph’s Goal’ charity (more information about this can be found at the website www.josephsgoal.org). Thank you for your generosity.
The picture was put on the council Facebook page and people then voted for their favourite picture.
We got over2.200 votesand finished in 2nd place.
Well done to everybody for all of your wonderful support. You made the school and the whole St. Andrew’s community very proud. Thank you!

At St Andrew’s, our greatest priority is that your child is happy. We firmly believe that happy children learn best, and we prove this with our results. We have high aspirations and we achieve our goals consistently because we understand that happiness leads to success, not the other way round.
Our children are loved and cherished by all the staff, and we value and celebrate the uniqueness of every single member of our St Andrew’s family.
